Cheaply made

We have had this for a few weeks and the freezer door handle has come off 4 times now. The refrigerator drawers are very cheap and clunky. There is not enough adjustments for the shelves. My biggest concern is that the freezer door sticks hard every time we open or close it, the refrigerator is level but the drawer has a screw that sticks out too far and gets stuck every time we open or close it. It's just a matter of time before it breaks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Congratulations on the new refrigerator! We're sorry to hear it is off to a shaky start and know it is frustrating on a brand new appliance. To firmly attach the freezer handle, it should slide firmly to the right. We recommend placing a soft cloth over the left end and tapping with a rubber mallet to pop it into place. Great fridge

Love the fridge but I wish the drawers in the freezer were a little more sturdy. Also, the fridge doors seem to slam open so trying to get used to holding on to the door which makes it hard if I'm getting something out that I need both hands for.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Features - Lots of Space!

I've only had this refrigerator a few days but am really happy with it! Lots of space and the quick space shelf is genius! You can fit gallon jugs in multiple adjustable shelves on the door, which is great, but being able to drop that top shelf to allow for taller items is a really nice feature. I love the built in icemaker within the door which then allows for full access of the top shelf. Finally, a large exterior water/ice dispenser that supports water bottles and has the nozzle near the outer part of the door for easier filling. I'm impressed so far!

the fridge layout is great, although in order to stand up my milk and other tall items I had to remove a shelf completely on the right side. the shelving system is flexible and the lighting is excellent. highly recommend the fridges with the freezer on the bottom and double doors, it's the best. it puts what you reach for most often right in front of you.
TEMPERATURE
I was able to get this fridge close to ideal refrigerator temperature but I am at the lowest fridge setting and the range is still 35 - 40 degrees within the refrigerator. if the temp goes up any further, the only way I can adjust the fridge temp is to lower the freezer temp which I imagine would handicap the efficiency of the fridge and cost me in electricity.
NOISES
some might call it a subtle symphony but suffice to say that this fridge does not do it's job quietly. I have an open layout and my living room is in the same space as my living room. if that is how your house is constructed, I would be leery of this model. if you have a quiet household and you have good ears, you will notice various strange noises including an oscillating hum that happens frequently and that I can hear from forty feet away. there's also a fluttering, chattering noise, maybe not unlike a chimpanzee having a fit half a block away, that shows up regularly. theres a fan/motor noise that's pretty loud (maybe the compressor) and when I open the freezer it's obviously that it's coming from there. there's also popping type noise, but that one shows up infrequently. I am aware that fridges make noises, but this fridge is a noise champion. my night time advice: if your bedroom is near the kitchen, don't get ice just before bed because, like many fridges, the ice machine will make some pretty loud crashes as it refills the ice hopper.

Modern refrigerators have new features and are more energy efficient than older ones. The foam insulation used in new models has excellent insulating capabilities and is very energy efficient however it is not as sound absorbent as previously used fiberglass insulation.
Hard surfaces such as ceramic tile, vinyl or hard wood floors, walls and kitchen cabinets may make these operating sounds more noticeable. As a result, certain sounds may be unfamiliar on a new refrigerator at first. These sounds are normal and are usually an indication that the refrigerator is operating properly.
