Efficient but noisy

Very clean looking inside and out and love the black sides however this refrigerator is a lot louder than my previous GE Profile purchased in 2009.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The foam insulation used in new models has excellent insulating capabilities and is very energy efficient, however, it's not as sound absorbent as previously used fiberglass insulation. Depending on the placement of the refrigerator in your kitchen, you may want to place a piece of rubber backed carpet beneath the refrigerator to help reduce the sounds. Pretty good

Some observations :
1. Temperature setting isn't accurate. We set the refrigerator temp to 37, 2 separate thermometers showed 40, setting the temp to 35 gets the temperature to 38.
2. You can't pull out the drawers on the right without opening both doors. The left side is OK
3. The motor, or compressor is noisier than any refrigerator we've had in 20+ years.
4. The freezer door isn't nearly as easy to open as our old Samsung.
5. The way the milk container shelf is set up hides a lower shelf. My wife couldn't see the shelf.

Spacious

So glad we finally switched from a cramped side by side to a spacious French door, we can actually see what’s in the frig now! Love the deep doors which hold milk, etc.
