We just purchased this refrigerator 2 days ago and we love it. Our old one was a french door and I wanted something a little different. There is so much more room.

French Doors give easy access to everyday used items. The bottom freezer is larger than our old side-by-side, way more room than expected

Some problems

Very pretty appliance, the ice and water systems work well. However, I can’t keep the freezer handle from coming off, and the drawers are sticky and feel flimsy as though they will break. The refrigerator is quiet, and keeps the temperature constant.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The freezer handle can be secured but you must slide to the right and make sure you hear a "click" sound to lock the handle in place as explained on page 25 of the following manual. https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-1000472-1.pdf -- We hope you find this information helpful. EXCELLENT PRODUCT

When searching for a refrigerator at last minute, we only had a few choices at our local big box retailer. Although we were not sure about the product to begin with, we learned shortly after installation that the refrigerator had an excellent layout and has more than adequate storage. The ice maker is slightly smaller than we had hoped but so far has sufficed. No complaints as of this time

Has a lot of great features. Ice maker, ice and water in the door. Shelf for bottle or can beverages. Temp control for fruit and vegetable draws. Light get brighter when door is open. Great Refrigerator.
