Temperature fluctuation

The frig and freezer are set at recommended settings 37°/0° F. The top and bottom frig shelf temps are reading different. The actual freezer temp is -5° F. As shown in the pictures. Also, the this unit has had a weird sound since new. I was told by the appliance store it was a break in thing. The sound is still there, just not as bad or loud. This frig was delivered 9 months ago, but only has just a little over 6 months of use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ares near the cooling vents, typically in the back of the unit, will be slightly cooler. From your pictures, we also noticed your refrigerator does not have much in it. This will affect the unit and cause greater fluctuations in temperature. We recommend keeping it around 3/4 full to hold in the cool air. this will also help the efficiency of the unit and save energy.

I went from a side by side to the fridge on top and freezer on the bottom. I LOVE my new fridge! So much more room and I can find things so much easier!

Nice refrigerator

We had our old GE refrigerator for 30yrs, which is the reason for purchasing this one. I've only had it for 3 weeks so no problems to this point. I do wish that the ice and water panel would light up the words to see what you are doing. The word are very hard to see.
