I’ve had repair man come twice since January when got the fridge the panel goes all crazy beeping and changing temperatures

Doors open easily, don't catch or need to tug. Bins and inserts are a snap to remove and clean. Water dispenser/Ice-maker low enough for small children, but not toddler play height. Exceptionally packed for shipment!

Whirring Sound Heard Throughout The Great Room.

I grew up on GE and bought GE Products over the years. Our new GE refrigerator is sad to say Disappointing. Our home builder (Fischer Homes) bought it and had it delivered and hooked up. It makes constant whirring noises that go up and down in pitch. It’s also slow making ice. There is barely enough ice for 6 people much less 8. I have to go buy ice, which doesn’t fit well in the bottom freezer. The interior design of the shelving is lacking in thought. If I could get rid of the annoying sounds, I’d deal with the rest. Like I said, I’ve been a huge fan of GE kitchen products over the decades...until now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very Large Capacity

This refrigerator is very roomy compared to its sister's Side by Side that is the same capacity. Having full size shelves is much more practical.

It is a great model! Is easy to see everything you have in the fridge without having to move around things. The water and ice dispenser does not take away space. It is a very quite model :-)

Ridiculously Noisy

The model that I’m reviewing here is a replacement model for one that I had issues with back in August. The initial refrigerator has an issue where it knocked 6 or 7 times seemingly after the start of the compressor (my wife stated that she heard it at other times). Working with GE that analyzed that it was an issue with a damper but that the part to fix it would take a long time to order and install. So, they offered me a new unit. I accepted and it was delivered and installed. Several hours later I was shocked to hear the exact same knocking noise but at a lower volume. (The volume has increased a bit over the last week). I contacted the rep that I had been working with who stated that it must me a design flaw and offered me a small monetary amount fir my troubles.
It’s really not about the money but more so that GE would have provided a better overall product with better craftsmanship. Someone had to know that these units were flawed and yet they still put them out on the market. Though muffled I can hear the unit knocking in the middle of the night when the house is quiet.
Totally disappointed with this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
