Quality is great. Features are great. It was a little loud when it 1st started. Because it was working hard to get down to temp. It is now quiet.

Great looking, not high-quality

I love the look of this GE refrigerator, but the quality is not as good as I expect from GE. The freezer handle comes off when pulled, the refrigerator makes a recurring "clunk-clunk-clunk" sound intermittently, and the water dispenser drips after each use, causing staining on the shelf below. The exterior also fingerprints much more than our previous refrigerator (it was not a GE). I really like the interior layout, the vegetable/fruit and meat/cheese drawers though.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

3 years old and freezer is icing up over and over

Bought this model new. Initially no problems. Last Fall freezer was warm. Found the coils were iced over. Defrosted and 2 mos later the same thing. Now we defrost it every 2 mos. Need to make a service call. My old fridge was 25 yrs old and running fine. This is disappointing.

Great fridge, the only reason I didnt give it a 5 was due to the size of the ice container. We run out of ice quite often and have to use plastic ice trays for a back up.
