I have in in a rental property. It was economical but but it has to be replaced after a few y are of light to moderate use

Noisy pile of garbage

I had the displeasure of using this dishwasher until it finally broke down and was replaced by my landlord with a much nicer model.
The Good:
Nothing
Nothing
The Bad:
NOISY - very, very intrusive noise - clunking, buzzing, thuds, grinding sounds
Poor wash quality - there is no spray for the top rack, instead, there is a telescoping piece of junk sprayer that does absolutely nothing for the top rack. The bottom dishes, even pre-rinsed, would come out grimy and filmy. This is using the top-of-the-line Cascade wash packs.
Poor build quality - Flimsy plastics, cheap white interior, and most of all...what appliance in 2021 still has a knob and a manual door lock?
How could GE even put their name on such an inferior product?
DO NOT BUY this piece of junk.

Washing performance is reliant on a number of different factors. First, we would recommend verifying that the inlet water temperature is hot enough. This can be checked by running the faucet nearest the dishwasher on its hottest setting and verifying the temperature reaches at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit. If possible, be sure that "Hi temp wash" is selected. Also, be sure that you are using a high-quality dish detergent and rinse aid along with making sure that the filter is not clogged. More information and steps to improve performance are available on page 18 of the use and care manual, linked here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-55114-1.PDF

Buy another brand

This dishwasher has broken twice in two years and both times the needed parts are on back order, surprise they break on everyone’s. Thankfully I can do the work myself for repairs but even without paying someone’s labor I’m half way to a new dishwasher had I known this I would have bought a new one the first time. Do yourself a favor and buy another brand.

Works great. Much better than our last one! Consistently gets all the dishes clean. We just use the regular wash and not fancy soap. We don’t do the heated dry either.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is what our apartment installed & to be honest I’m not happy with it. Our dishes are never fully clean & you basically have to clean the dishes before putting them in if you want them spotless so what’s the point.

There's absolutely no need to pre-rinse, all you need to do is scrape any solid food into the bin or compost before stacking your dishes into the dishwasher. In order to get the best results from your dishwasher, we recommend turning your hot water on first before turning your dishwasher on. This will allow the first fill to be nice and hot! Doesn’t clean well. Have to wash dishes beforehand. Have had it 4 years and have hated it since day one. My moms 20 year old dishwasher is better.
