Hi there! We are so happy to have you in the GEA family. We're sorry to hear you are having trouble with the dishwasher and appreciate the opportunity to help. First, we recommend making sure the water is at least 120 degrees. You may need to run the sink for a few seconds to warm the water up before starting a cycle. Second, a high quality detergent is important for the best performance. For the rack, it does have a 50 pound weight limit, so make sure the rack is not overloaded. Let us know if you have any more questions. - John@GEA

Trash

We have had this 1 and a half years and we have had nothing but problems a year and a month after purchase. The dishwasher keeps back flowing and we have contacted our home warranty and it’s not coved and apparently it’s not covered with GE either. Not sure the issue but this product is trash. They said it was probably the drain hose but it’s not blocked or moved from its original position. Very dissatisfied.

We bought a new home and the builder had these in the homes. It is very loud for today standard, with open concept living it does not work for us. We will be getting a different one soon. as well as a different brand. I now think I know why I have seen a couple of them on the the curb for the trash.

Hi there,

Thanks for writing a review. We're so sorry to hear about the noise issues and that this has caused you to replace it and go with another brand. We hope that we can work hard in the future to earn your trust back.

Just so you're aware, this model is rated at 62 dBA. Remember, actual sound levels can be a little different once installed in the home. You might find the appliance quieter or louder than the decibel rating suggests. The loudness of a dishwasher depends on the installation location, the cabinetry where it is located, the flooring, the countertop above it, and even whether the dishwasher is full of dishes or partially empty.

All the best,
Michael@GEA

Not Durable at all
on June 11, 2022
Posted by: Pile of Junk
Had this less than a year and the drain pump broke. I replaced the drain pump and the the spray arm broke. Replaced that and immediately after the intake valve broke. The maintenance on this thing is becoming more expensive than the whole washer, it’s a junk bucket. When it does actually work it doesn’t get the dishes that clean and it’s LOUD. AVOID THIS MODEL

Hello. We appreciate you reaching out, though we sincerely hate to hear you’ve had multiple issues with the dishwasher and had to replace parts. We know how frustrating this must have been, especially when the dishwasher is still new. This certainly isn’t what we would expect from this model, and we regret the inconvenience you’ve experienced.

Our team will be informed of your experience for review, including your concerns over the noise and performance when it’s working, and your feedback is appreciated. Regarding the issue you’ve had with dishes not getting clean, you may want to check that the water temperature is at least 120 degrees F and neither the air gap or dispenser are clogged. We do have troubleshooting tips available in the manual, starting on page 18: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-55114-1.PDF&_ . Noises are also discussed on page 21. If you need to reach out to our service department for any reason, they're available at 1-800-432-2737 or online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm .

Because of the recurring issues you’ve had, we will also be reaching out over email to get a few additional details and determine how best we can assist with a resolution. We look forward to hearing back from you, and are also glad to help with any other concerns or questions you may have. -Sarah@GEA

Does not clean at all

This dishwasher is terrible at its assigned function. Regardless of how much pre-washing, dishes and flatware require washing what is essentially a third time (pre-wash, dishwasher and again after.).

Leaking after a year 1/2
on July 12, 2023
Posted by: K clancy

After a year and a half and daily use, our dishwasher began to leak from the bottom corner. We had a tech come out and look in hopes of repairing it, but unfortunately the use of the hot water cycle has warped the plastic inside drum, which caused the door to be unable to seal correctly. He said it’d be cheaper to buy a new one than replace the inside portion. Go stainless steel inside and save the headache.
