Another broken downdraft:(

This is my 2nd purchase of this downdraft. It works fine as a downdraft but it seems to easily break. Now it will not lift up out of the compartment making it useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Contemporary Look

We replaced 20 year old appliances in a home we recently purchased. Because the stove top had a pop up downdraft, we decided to go with GE model. The look is beautiful and blends nicely with other appliances. But, as with most downdrafts they can only do so much. You can’t compare overhead hoods with downdrafts they are fundamentally different. That being said, the fan isn’t to loud on high, does pull as well as a downdraft can and is easy to clean.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent Complement to Cafe Cooktop

Cheaply Made Lift Mechanism

Oops had to cut

I bought approximately two months ago, I had not had one for approximately two years because the GE Profile Performance one had stopped working. I am getting ready to sale my home so had to replace.

DOWNDRAFT GE

I BOUGHT THIS 2 YEARS AGO AND IT WAS WORKING GREAT UNTILL ONE DAY IT STARTED MAKING A WERID SOUND. I HAVE A PROTECTION PLAN ON IT AND CALLED FOR SERVICE. THE PERSON THAT CAME OUT TO FIX IT HAD NEVER SEEN. HE ORDER A PART FOR IT AND THEN CAME OUT TO FIX IT 4 WEEKS LATER. WHEN HE CAME BACK APART HE DISCOVERED THAT THE PART HE NEEDED WAS NOT IN KIT HE ORDER AND SAID HE WAS NOT ABLE TO FIX IT TILL THAT PART CAME IN. MY FAN AT THIS POINT WAS NOT WORKING AT ALL. I GOT A CALL 3 DAYS LATER THAT THEY WERE GOING TO REPLACE THE WHOLE THING. MY HUSBAND INSTALLED IT THE DAY IT CAME IN IT. BEEN GREAT. I LOVE THE PRODUCT.
