Old vent died, so this is the replacement.

This vent is a replacement for an older model of the same vent....the old one died. Works okay, but the button to raise/lower aren't the most responsive. Overall good, but my next kitchen will not have a telescoping vent!

This vent works well and looks as good as one can be. Easy to clean. A little loud, even on the low..but that's the only complaint.

Step Up in Function and Size

This downdraft has better controls than our previous one, but it has a slightly larger depth. I can’t find anyone who will cut our granite to fit, so it is a downdraft that won’t go down!

A lot of money for little venting

This is a very expensive product for the quality of venting. This model replaced a previous one and it doesn’t pull the air as strongly.

Bad design on 'remote'

It seems to work well, but the 'remote' is very poorly designed. They want you to drill another hole in your countertop and put it there. I didn't like that idea and finally placed it on the cabinet below, but it's not optimum. Would have been better to have a switch on the cooktop that could be wired to it

I could not ask for better at any price. My Thermador draft tower quit after 30 years! Yes it was a hero but the price of a new one was daunting. I loved the price of the GE downdraft and ordered it. It looks great, has a digital dial and works so well. I could not be more pleased.
