I bought this TV for gaming, due to the low input lag, and it hasn't disappointed. I do watch movies and tv shows with the wife on it , as well. The viewing angles and sound are great, the colors are amazing and I've never felt better about a TV purchase.

The ideal gaming TV

I waited more than a decade to purchase my first HDTV for my gaming setup, and the wait was worth it. I've shied away from flatscreen TVs for the longest time due to input lag, but the recent Sony Bravias have garnered a reputation for industry-leading responsiveness, and the W950B is no exception. Measurements that I've taken personally peg it at less than 1 frame behind a CRT in game mode and within a few milliseconds of tournament-standard monitors, which should be enough to satisfy even the pickiest twitch gamer.
I only wish I could have found a more budget-minded set with the same size and responsiveness. I don't particularly care about 3D or Smart TV features, so I would have sprung on a feature-sparse set with the same performance had the option been available, and I know a few gaming-minded consumers in the same boat that may not be as willing to pay for a premium set as I was. Something I hope Sony thinks about in the future.

Outstanding TV

I bought this TV because I didn't want to fork out the money for 4k, but I wanted a nice 1080p that would last a long time without me wishing I spent more.
Pros: Ridiculously perfect viewing from literally any angle, 0 input lag (for gamers), great picture quality, and the sound is AMAZING for not having an external sound system or bar. Especially on Game and Cinema mode.
Cons: Interface for the TV guide is a little sluggish and not super friendly, the TV screen is pretty glossy, so be careful where you place it, and the smart remote isn't all that special...

Beautiful TV

This is the Greatest TV - It is picture perfect and is has great sound. There is a sound adjustment so you can make voices come to the forefront which really helps when the background music is so loud you can't hear what is being said. Very helpful - love this TV, best purchase ever!!

If you are on the cusp of buying this TV, go ahead. It performs well, and has very agreeable wifi setup and app interface. It is pricey. It's kind of like buying a high grade diamond ring ... many will not be able to perceive its differentiating brilliance but you can and that's all that matters. I resisted the 4K hype as I believe 4K adds an experience imperceptable at normal viewing distances.

65 inches w950b

I receive the 65 w950b yesterday to replace my xbr 46inches that I was very satisfied But now with the 65 inches the colors are awfull the cblue color is like a blue del light plus the red color ,the technician came to calibrate the tv but no luck and I am very upset about this tv maybe thats why they low the price
