I truly do love this TV and it deserves 5 Stars!
If you have a good or even decent signal the picture quality and deep rich color are awesome! I have not noticed any shadowing or ghosting in fast action. I have a PS3 and love playing it just to see the graphics!
In my opinion the design of the TV is awesome. It looks great in my family room!
In all honesty I was going to gig this TV one star for the lack of available content! You know, the content that we don't have to pay an arm and leg for... i.e.: $699.00 box + cost of content! Sooo I put it here and did not gig! Come on Sony, really?! All's we want to do is "show off" our new TV to friends and family! Even a copy of the beautiful Demo that is playing on the Sony UHD TV's in the "BigBox" stores would be nice...

Hard to replace Mitsubishi rear proj screen but ..

So I loved my 55" Mitsubishi rear projection screen. Lasted 15 years. We've seen a lot together. World Cups, the first season of American Idol, Jack Bauer, 911. But it just gave out. Almost to the day I bought it. So, this TV is still just a TV if that makes any sense. But what I have seen so far is beautiful. It has a very rear projection feel, a sort of earthy quality to the picture. Honest. Not overly bright, but sharp and ... Earthy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We love the TV. The picture quality is absolutely amazing. We have been watching Marco Polo on Netflix and the difference was just unbelievable. We switched from an eight year old Sony HD that we had been happy with but had seen better days. We also love the Smart TV access to streamed content. It makes Netflix, You Tube, Amazon, all just as easy to use as our DVR.

The picture and sound are fantastic. Figuring out how to use the many features is not. I have 30+ years with computers and electronics. The menu navigation is confusing, help and hint information is very lacking, and some features (such as mirroring a picture from a Windows 8.1 PC) do not work.

Love the TV. Great picture even for antenna reception being I don't have cable. I have Amazon Prime and the HD movies look great. I hope it lasts as long as my huge Sony Wega which still worked and had a good picture but was outdated. The frustration at times is slow start up, slow to switch between app screens at times and at times I cannot use apps because the Sony server is down and that is what the apps connect through.

Love the TV. Can watch regular UHD TV and 3D movies. I had a 3d compatible blue ray player and enjoyed watching a 3d movie. They should sell it with 4 3d glasses instead of 2. Love it. Enjoy
