The freezer door will not stay shut! When you close the fridg door it pops the freezer door open. Had a repairman out and he told me ALL top freezers do this. So after spending almost $1000.00 we use Duct Tape to keep the freezer door closed.

causing problems

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and have had the repairman here 3 times and the problem is still not fixed. Now I'm waiting for parts to come from the factory. My freezer collects FROST and the refrigerator part freezes many things. So far, I am not a satisfied customer.

Do not buy

I bought this a week ago and the temperature of the refrigerator and freezer are not working properly. The freezer isnt cold enough and the refrigerator part is too cold. I bought this because I had another maytag fridge for 20 years which I loved. This one is nowhere near the same Quality. I bought it online. Also, check return policy. The place I bought it from will only refund less than 48 hours after delivery. Freezer door shelf is worthless, freezer dial is inside the freezer and only has 3 settings on a poor dial. Not worth the price.

No happy with this product!

Ice crystals keep forming to the right of the freezer light, sometimes up to 1/2 inch. The freezer door handle sticks out further than the bottom handle, so it is apparently not lined up correctly.Also,every time we open the fridge door, anything that is in the utility compartment falls out, so it is useless. We have always had Maytag washers and dryers and loved them, but the refrigerator is a terrible design..

Do not buy this!

I am a life-long Maytag customer, but I will never buy another Maytag appliance after this! Two days after it arrived in my house, the freezer starting frosting up. The freezer temperature goes up and down; I lost several food items because of it. Also, it is LOUD. I requested a new refrigerator because this one is defective, but Maytag says their policy is to repair, not replace. I waited 5 WEEKS for a repair, and it turned out to be nothing more than some putty being stuck in the side of my freezer door! Unbelievable! (See picture below.) I am now in the process of trying to return it and buy another brand. I don't need this time-waster in my busy life! DO NOT BUY THIS.

cheap materials

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] upon first use of the plastic drawer for holding lunchmeat, it broke. Sent Maytag a complaint but never heard from them. Quality is not what it used to be. Wish I had kept my old Maytag it was much better made. Stronger plastic.Freezer didn't even come with an ice cube tray.
