All As Advertised; Works Very Well - Overall Great

I have has this unit for 3 months. It is exactly as advertised. The size of the freezer and frig as well as the size of the water/ice dispenser are exactly as specified. If someone complains about this they are foolish because the exact sizes are published and you can view it i the store before you make your purchase.
The temperature control works very well. I live in a high humidity zone and my temperature has significant fluctuations. Despite this, the temperature of the freezer and frig compartments is well regulated. Despite my humid climate the frost control works very well in both sections.
The ice maker works exactly as advertised. Yes when you use one or the other ice types there may be some residual in the dispenser that may be dispensed upon your next use, regardless of what is selected - exactly as the manual explains. (If this is a surprise or upsets you, it is your fault for not reading the manual online before you purchased it. In 2019 this is a normal and expected pre-purchase activity, and is your due diligence).
The sounds this unit makes are exactly as stipulated in the owner's manual but I would enjoy the unit more if they were quieter. There is no way to preview this before purchase unless you know someone who has this model.
The stainless finish is easily marked. I do wish it was smudge resistant and a little more rust resistant (remember I live in a very high humidity area) but again, I knew this before i purchased the unit because I viewed the unit in a store.
***Notes for future models. The water being dispensed should be dispensed at a more vertical angle. As it is, the water can splash outside the dispensing area and onto the floor if the glass being filled is not tall and the glass is not held to the top of the dispenser. I often need to wipe the exterior of the freezer door after dispensing water. I wish the well of the dispenser would be deeper or had a method of disposal such as porting some of this waste water into the area where the moisture from inside the frig is evaporated into the atmosphere.
I would like to see a little more flexibility regarding shelving arrangements in both sides, but this is simply me nitpicking.

Refrigerator fits perfectly and looks like it has always been part of the appliances that are in the kitchen. I would like to have had additional storage bins on the door.

It’s a side by side

This fridge came with the new construction home we purchased. Personally I do not like this style fridge. Because I bake a lot and need to have room to put a sheet cake in the fridge. With that said I do like several features of this fridge. The ice/water dispenser works even when someone else opens the door. The ice production is great. It keeps everything well refrigerated/frozen and is quiet. This is a small fridge but does the job and would work great for an apartment/condo.
We ordered (in April) a 27.8 cu ft GE French Door to replace this one. It has been on back order ever since and are hoping to have it very soon.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pitting after 2 months

The finish on this refrigerator is terrible. It’s impossible to keep clean and the stainless steel is pitting on 1 door and both handles. We only have used soap and water as per GE instructions.
