This fingerprint resistant unit has great LED lighting to make it easy to see inside, as well as quick space shelf for those tall items you may have. This shelf slides back and allows space to place taller items, and a door alarm that will sound if the door is left open. This is doing great so far. I love the fingerprint resistant feature however the shelvings are a little too close and the water spout tends to drip for some time after getting water.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Will work on a low budget

Have not had this refrigerator very long but the first issues we noticed was the shelving was not very configurable and is very limited. This make it difficult to for storing certain large items like large bottles and adversely affects capacity. While it has a pull out drawer it is missing a specific deli drawer. The door shelving is ok but I am concerned about breakage as it is all plastic. The lower freezer drawer is ok but noisy and seems rater clunky. Would rather have a double freezer drawer setup. The ice maker works pretty good and is not as noisy as our last refrigerator. It will do as we did not have a large budget for a new refrigerator.
I would recommend this to a friend!

THE EAGLE SCOUT OF REFRIGERATORS?

Purchased this refrigerator three weeks ago. Functioning perfectly. Shelving configured intuitively with more than enough capacity. A refrigerator should simply "hum in the background" and do what a great refrigerator should do: keep things cold, have enough storage capacity and be absolutely dependable. This GE model does all of the above.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
