Replaced my 30 year old GE side by side, (which still runs fine). Love the extra capacity and ability to see everything. Only issue is ice shoots out on the floor if container isn't placed correctly. I wish there was a type of funnel dispenser for this model. One other suggestion, split the bottom drawer so both doors don't have to open wide to pull out fully.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very Nice refrigerator, not too sure the point of the split glass shelf, seems to be more of a problem than asset. Maybe slightly more ice capacity would be an asset. The filter status is a very nice touch.

We have been GE refrigerator customers off and on since 1966. 4 years ago, we bought a GE Garage Refrigerator, which we really like. It performs great in the heat of the Garage!
So when our in-house refrigerator recently 5 gave up the ghost, we went on the hunt for a nice white GE Refrigerator/Freezer, and found this model GFE26JGMYFWW. We are very satisfied with our purchase.

Product is just okay. Lots of wasted space unless you remove some shelves. Don’t like one crisper drawer because you have to open both doors to access it. Unless you open the right door the left door is extremely difficult to open.

I am very pleased with my new GE refrigerator. It’s very sleek looking in my kitchen. It’s cooling as it should and the ice maker has started making ice. It’s very quiet, has plenty of roomy adjustable shelves in the door, and adjustable shelves on the inside.
