Outside Panel

We love the refrigerator, but have a hard time seeing the words on the outside panel (water, crushed, cubed, etc). They are the same color as the background, so you have to look closely or shine a light on them 😩 We thought the words lit up, but they don't; only the line on top of the word. Can this be fixed? We didn't want to send the refrigerator back because of this.

What a disappointment! Constant dirt in melting ice cubes. Tried a new filter, no luck.
Water is clear but when cubes melt dirt lands in bottom of glass!

Great Features!

This GE product is exactly what we needed to replace our 30 yr old one. We love the French doors. The adjustable shelves are spacious and I love the customizable shelf for our gallon iced tea pitcher. The door shelves take a little getting used to as the ones on the left door, where the ice maker is, are more narrow than our old fridge door shelves. The one and only drawback, for us, is that the outside door dispenser for water and ice is a bit low for the average person. For my husband, at 6'1", having to bend over so far to read the unlit dispenser labels is inconvenient to say the least. Overall, I would definitely recommend this refrigerator/freezer. And the grandkids love it too!
I would recommend this to a friend!
