The GE Slate is a great finish. The French door design with the lower freezer drawer provides lays of space for different food items and containers. The lower freezer drawer is large and let’s you see the contents better.

Flimsy. ice maker could wake the dead. Entire unit moves when you close freezer door. Temp varies over 10 degrees in freezer. Not a good value.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Solid, well-designed fridge!

This is a great new fridge with a well-designed interior, including all-clear produce drawers and a full-width cooling drawer for meats or canned drinks. The pull-out chest freezer has an upper drawer and a large capacity. We like having a water/ice dispenser on the outside, but there are still three narrow shelves on the inside-left door that can hold ketchup and mustard bottles, etc. All in all, a solid fridge.

Smaller than I would like

The fridge and freezer is nice for the most part but the layout is not functional! I had to take away a shelf to be able to to put milk in the fridge as I don’t want my milk in the door so that was a huge disappointment and all the tall containers would t fit if I didn’t take away a shelf! Really to bad!

So much storage in refrigerator!

We got this to replace our side-by-side refrigerator and have so much more space in the fridge, especially since the ice maker is in the door panel although I wish that there was more wiggle room for shelf height. The shelves can only be placed in one location and the "flex shelf" has to be slid back to fit a gallon of milk or a quart of coffee creamer upright in the fridge. The freezer seems smaller than our old one but overall we're glad with this upgrade.
