All the bells and whistles we'll ever need

This unit replaces another brand that was in service for 17 years with similar features. With the indoor water and ice, large cu.ft. capacity and super clean interior we were anxious to plug it in. While beautiful inside and out, we found this unit to make noises when least expected; after the ice maker services any ice, when cooling down, or defrosting, it snaps, crackles and pops at an almost continuous rate. And sometimes, it's just not a little noise in the background, but, "what the heck was that?"

Great Product with Minor Flaws

THe refrigerator is a nice size, pleasant to look at, keeps food at a great temperature and makes great ice cubes. Ice-maker stops making ice when bin is full. THAT'S a great feature. Freezer is great too. ONLY drawbacks are: (1) Too loud when running. (2) Off switch for ice maker is cheap plastic and broke the first time I used it. So, can no longer shut off ice-maker. Good thing is the ice-maker stops producing ice when the bin is full - but still can't turn it off completely when on vacation.

Good, Not Great.

I purchase this refrigerator for my new construction home. I had so many decisions to make I didn’t research appliances very well. There are some features I would choose differently next time. The dispensers on the front (ice, water, etc) are dark letters. When it’s dark in the kitchen, you can’t tell what is what and there is no light for the letters. I would also chose a model with separate water and ice dispensers, rather than all the same. Small changes but they make a difference. Also, I’ve just changed the water filter for the first time and now it won’t work. I get an error message. I’m waiting for a service call to see what is wrong.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The fans and compressor are loud. The water drips. The ice machine sounds like grinding metal!

Hello- We are happy to help! Newer refrigerators will sound different from an older refrigerator. Modern refrigerators have more features and use newer technology. What you are hearing is the new high efficiency compressor that will run faster and longer. You could also hear a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound while it is operating. Please review page 43 in your manual and the following link that will have more information on normal sounds.

It’s a great fridge

I have enjoyed this fridge so far, my only complaints is that the ice maker is noisy (a squealing sound) when it is making a new batch. Also, the display is very dim and it is difficult to see if you are selecting ice or water.
I would recommend this to a friend!
