The Real Deal

The refrigerator is just what we expected. It runs well, dispenses water and ice on demand, and keeps everything at the proper temperature. So far, it is just what we wanted.

My French door refrigerator is a stainless dream-gem I wanted a long time for the generous two-shelf bottom freezer and the double top doors of a French-door. I like the one door access when I want to grab a drink and the configurable ways you can store food in the top. I keep dairy and deli in the wide bottom drawer and my fresh produce I use a LOT of in the two generous top drawers. I grow my own veggies so in the summer I especially need ample produce storage. The higher shelf that can retract half way affords enough tall space below it for 2 half gallon tea pitchers or several 2-liter soda bottles. I also appreciate the various sized door shelving for condiments and drinks from the deep ones for gallon containers to the lowest short shelf for all my small jars of flavorings and bouillons. The controls are easy, the in-door ice dispenser is convenient to use and access, and the alarm for doors left ajar have been great reminders. You do have to open both drawers to get to the bottom wide drawer. That can be a pain. But that I consider due to my choice for this model, just as I do the need to replace a hundred dollar water filter every 6 months. I do drop my rating a star because I think GE needs to ensure the freezer handle could stay on better, because it has a habit of coming off. I end up using the sides of the freezer to open the freezer. And the 2 top doors are easy to leave slightly ajar. I think GE could address that better design. Even with those complaints, I still adore this fridge model I carefully chose. It serves my particular needs as a single grandmother beautifully and it looks wonderful.

Great features nice finish

I like the overall performance of the refrigerator and the exterior finish looks great. The water and ice access work very well and are convenient. The ice reservoir has limited space being in the door. Temperature adjustments for both the refrigerator and freezer are limited.

Right door swings open and slams cabinets. Not best with features. Cannot access cheese draw unless both doors open so it’s always a two handed operation. And freezer pullout always in way. Motor is also loud
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pretty Great Thus Far

Plenty of space and solid opening and closing. Only issue I've come across is the fridge doors will close or open all the way if you try to open them at the midway point. Door will slam open if you open it past this point and remove your hand. Same thing for it slamming close

Great-Classic Refrigerator

We LOVE our new refrigerator. This model meets all our needs and then some. The only thing we wish was different was to have the words on the front light up so you can see what you're hitting at night (water, ice, etc.). Overall we would recommend this to all of our friends and family.
