Great Refrigerator!

We had Bocsh appliance and had problems with them. In our last house, we got GE appliances and had no issues, so we decide to start replacing our appliances with GE, starting with our refrigerator.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This replaces a three year old BLACK STAINLESS french door refrigerator that only fault was being black. Have only had this one less than a week, but first impression is disappointing. Very noisy compared to previous. Space is wasted by not allowing for more adjustment of shelves. On the plus side, I really love the looks and hope I will learn to like the interior and ignore the noise.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beautiful addition

The refrigerator has a bright interior with ample space for all of our items. I had a French door refrigerator / bottom freezer prior and loved it and this one is equally as nice!

Ice maker defective!

Ice maker had to be replaced not putting out sufficient I Freezer handle coming off too many times and had
someone to come to fix it. Handle was recalled and now
no more issues with it but still ice output insufficient! Product inferior!!

Icemaker and door allows the ice thaw

The icemaker in the door allows the ice to thaw enough to wear every time I use it I have to remove the ice bin and break the ice loose because it is all froze together I have tried adjusting the freezer temp and nothing seems to help

Spacious but noisy

I would really give this a 3.5 if possible. It's very spacious to accommodate food and drinks for a family of 5. Very nice design and easy to wipe down. Stays nice and cold. Drawers and shelves are more than adequate.
However it is very noisy which makes me concerned about its longevity because it seems to be working very hard. Also you can barely see the options for "Ice" or "Water" on the dispenser because the letters are in black on a gray background.
Finally, some of the crushed ice will end up on the floor if glass isn't held to top of dispenser.

Our newest models do create a certain degree of sound. You may hear a high pitched hum or pulsating sound, which is normal.
