Brand new and now two tech appts

I really do not appreciate the amount of time spent having to fix this BRAND NEW appliance. I have called GE twice plus the home builders about this issue. The water filter has an error and it’s not making ice. I was sent a new filter and that didn’t work. Next up was a tech to come out who didn’t have any luck either. Now I have to wait another week to have a new computer board installed. These appliances are not made well. I can’t get any ice during the hottest time of the year and this process is very frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like the look of the fridge and it has plenty of space BUT 2 things that I don’t like about it are: the ice dispenser throws ice all over the place. About 1/2 of it actually lands in your glass! Second, it makes really odd noises off and on. (I’ve looked into it and it’s normal) Other than those issues, I really like my new fridge.

So far so good. Unit is unexpected louder than the 20 yr old whirlpool I just replaced. Crossing my fingers we get half that many years with this one.
Also, ice maker capacity is tiny. If you live in the south and have kids this is not the fridge for you. Find it be with bigger ice capacity. We will supplement by buying ice and keep in the freezer.

Wonderful Upgrade

Inherited the GE® ENERGY STAR® 25.8 Cu. Ft. French-Door Refrigerator with the purchase of a house that remodeled the kitchen in 2016 for the refrigerator upgrade. Loads of room and has a 2021 visual appeal, sadly the WiFi option not included. In the door ice and filtered water dispenser has been a refreshing treat while working on the house. Looking forward to using the bottom freezer drawer for quick food organization. Easy to find online information manuals will insure optimal use and performance maintenance for years to come.

So Far I love it

I was without a refrigerator for over 8 months. We had to replace our Kenmore 3 times and finally on the last repair the repair technician recommended we get a GE. We looked into the reviews and found that GE had good reviews. I have only had it 3 days but so far I love it.
