We really love the shape and placement of the water/ice machine!

Great refrigerator

I really like most of the features. For those who use a lot of ice, this refrigerator doesn't have a large ice maker. It is sufficient for me, but a large family might find that trying. It is attractive and works well and is fairly quiet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

NOISY all the time. Requested service but they have made it VERY difficult to get it. Loudest thing in the house, you can hear it on other levels.

Great product but the ice maker is the worst ever. Have to clean out ice receptacle weekly because it freezes over and will not dispense ice

Hello. We understand how this would be frustrating. Sometimes a small mound of frost, snow, or ice will form on the door or flap in the ice chute. This condition is usually normal and typically occurs when you have dispensed crushed ice repeatedly. It will eventually evaporate. You can clean frost from the dispenser chute by using a warm damp sponge.
For continuous frost:
Operate the dispenser with the door open and the ice bucket out to see if the flap is closing all the way. If not, you will want to have the dispenser checked by a service technician. If this does not help then a service call is needed. You can take advantage of your warranty and schedule an appointment with a GE Service technician at 1-800-432-2737 or online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm -- Stay well.
