Lots of room

I moved into a new home last october. The appliances were only 4 years old and were GEs. The fridge was a side by side and nice but the fridge portion was not very efficient. Had to pretty much unload it to get an item out or if I opened the door items would fall out. My new one in slate color is beautiful and as I said love the room in both fridge and freezer. I also purchased the other appliances in slate. Great appliances. Thanks GE for your high quality.

Does the Job, but Has Flaws

We've had ours for about two months. It does the primary job well of keeping things cold/frozen. However, the overall product is quite loud. The water dispenser also has dripped from the moment we plugged it in and used it--a seemingly common problem based on other reviews. We have to keep a washcloth on the tray at all times. Ours also came with a dent on the door. Quite honestly, it was easy enough to cover with a magnet and it wasn't worth the delay or headache of getting it in the house to have it replaced.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beautiful fridge Excellent features

Great features love the door fridge with freezer pull out in the bottom with water and ice dispenser. The water and ice dispenser is really nice and solid. My biggest surprise is that the bottom freezer area is big. Stays nice and cooled and also has a turbo freeze to make things colder. Amazing style and features.

it runs all the time the shelf in the door for the gallon of milk is hard to get in and out the doors don't stay open all the way so you can open the drawers freezer drawer doesn't work very good when delved it had a sticker that read has leaks .

For refrigerators and freezers to maintain proper temperature, the compressor will run much of the time. Newer refrigerators have compressors that are designed to run 80% to 90% of the time. This makes them more energy efficient because the greatest amount of energy is used when the compressor cycles on as opposed to when the compressor is actually running. For your fresh food door, we'd recommend to make sure your unit is level and on even flooring. Page 37 of your Use and Care manual walks you through how to level your unit.
