Ice building up in back of freezer first then months later same problem in the back of the refrigerator
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For the doors to close properly, the front of the refrigerator should be 1/4 inch higher than the rear. This should be measured using a level. Excellent Choice in Style and Manufacturer

We were very concerned about the reliability of although beautifully designed Samsung and LG friig’s that we decided to stick with looking at Whirlpool, Frigidaire, Maytag, Amanda and GE. The problem we encountered after choosing GE was the dang height. We chose a smaller standard depth initially but the depth increased. Anyway it was like a rubix cube with sizing and desired interior design. We do no care about push posh smart phone stuff. This refrigerator is not a alternative but excellent in what we were looking for.
Note: which is not a negatubut FYI, it will run loud until proper cooling is met. WhirpoGold which we owned prior, machts nicht. Very happy with this model and manufacturer. By the way yes Haier owns GE But there is no difference not just because the GE brand label is applicable till 2056 but there is no differences in manufacturing.
We were constricted with size but we feel very confiuwith a brand that has excellent customer support and ABLE to repair if needed.(Yes I know condensers are built in and 10 years is the maximum expectancy for any manufacturer),
BUT during your warranty period you want a one time, able to repair if needed. Hence GE. While I have maybe some of you here.... this was the most difficult item to purchase. And I mean anything. Thank you GE!

I like the side by side doors and freezer low

I wanted the side by side refrigerator doors so I could get items easily and have ample space for items. I like the freezer on the bottom as I do not use it that often

Spacious!!

I like the French door model. The only issue I have is the shelves on the doors are very small. Can’t put much on the left side. Also, the inner shelves don’t have room for a container of milk. There is not enough space between them.
I would recommend this to a friend!
