roomy but whiny

We've had our fridge for about 2 weeks now.
+Love the water and icemaker on the door, and the filter seems easy enough to change. We have not experienced any issue with the alarm ringing excessively as some reviews mentioned.
+Love the deep drawers in the freezer -- you can fit more than you realize in it.
+/-Love the fact that the one shelf can be folded under to create extra height. Dislike that its so necessary because there is no any other way to store things like tall pitcher or a wine bottle. It also makes the space behind it something that's only for rarely used items otherwise you have to pull out everything in the front to get at it
-The drawers do not open as smoothly as I would like, and none of them (there are two smaller drawers, each half the width of the fridge, and one wide one) are deep enough to hold a full head of iceberg lettuce or a standard sized head of cauliflower. That seems like a design flaw that I never thought to check for. Who brings a head of lettuce to an appliance dealer?
-despite being half the width of the fridge, you really cannot only open one door to open a drawer, for example to get out cheese. the drawers seem to need just a little more space to open all the way. that was not anticipated. its just inconvenient.
-There's not a set space for eggs, which I miss. I've taken to putting them in the wide drawer, but that means opening both doors every time i need one -- which is a lot.
+/- the shelves are all adjustable for height but once you adjust the middle shelf to make enough space for things like milk, then the available space for that shelf is very very small. even an egg carton won't fit. It's tall enough to just squeeze a pie plate or a cup of yogurt in. also not terribly helpful.
- shelves on the freezer side of the door are very tiny. can fit a 1 lb box of butter or a somewhat flat bottle of salad dressing. anything wider than a box of butter won't fit.
+/- shelves on other side are sturdy and top one is tall enough to hold a quart size of milk or creamer, but not tall enough to hold a bottle of wine. can't fit the huge ketchup bottle in as we did in our past side by side fridge.
- the whine is pretty constant. the manual indicates that it's a good thing, a sign that its working well. but it takes some getting used to before it just becomes the background noise of the house.
***would I recommend? maybe. it depends on the household and the needs of the person. if you can live with the negatives above, sure.

Not bad after repairs

The compressor stopped working after 3 days. We called GE and after 10 days the tech replaced a relay and all working now. Bad luck?

I love the refrigerator supposed to have guide on the ice maker to avoid the ice from poiri g out too much there making a mess everywhere.
