Very loud.

THis is my first really new and more modern refrigerator. From what I've read it's normal, but this refrigerator is really loud. Some of the sounds are just a regular hum, but at other times it cycles up and down and is extremely annoying. I can hear it anywhere on the lower level of my house. It's driving me nuts. If I had known the newer refrigerators ran constantly like this, I probably would have kept my older one until it broke down. Other that that, it's got lots of space on the inside. The ice dispenser is a little messy, almost always ends up with some ice on the floor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loud!!!!

I bought this refrigerator because we have faith in General Electric. However, not only is the motor loud, but there is a loud bang when opening and closing the freezer drawer. If that isn’t enough, there is a loud noise when we are finished filling a bottle of water. When the bottle is pulled away, it makes a very loud noise. There is also a knocking sound throughout the day and night. I have also found water/frozen ice on the door/top of the freezer drawer. I am very worried ad to what all of this means for future issues and repairs. We’ve only owned it five weeks!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A great value for a French door fridge. Features were just what we're looking for: French door style, filtered water & ice in door, touch control in door, great interior lighting, and roomy!, etc....all at a price when other French door fridges were beyond our spending limit.

Nice but noisy

First off, this fridge/freezer offers a lot of space being deep and tall, however, the doors don't hold as much as I would like for things like condiments, beverages, etc. I've noticed that when it's running it's rather noisy but I guess that's the downfall to open concept living. I've also noticed that the dispensing of the ice can take a while and the water is also very slow to fill up a glass or bottle. Overall I'm happy with the aesthetics but I think it lacks some functionality and design issues.
