This is out 3rd GE stainless steel refrigerator. This one came from our builder. I’m not very impressed. Inside is difficult to satire many tall items. Shelving doesn’t allow for many configurations either. Buttons for water and ice is very plain. Overall I would not recommend it.

So much space!

Pretty rudimentary drawers, for the price. But otherwise nice and coooooold. Loads of space. Never thought we’d use the iddy biddy door shelves but they’ve come in handy. Fridge feels so much bigger than the Samsung French Door that died on us after just 4 years.
Love the ice-in-door maker. Have had to get used to a slight high pitch during the day when the compressor is running.

This refrigerator looks sleek and modern. It dispenses crushed or cubed ice and cold filtered water from the door. The produce drawers have settings for either fruit or vegetables, and there is a shallow wide drawer at the bottom. It’s possible to move shelves to accommodate large platters or a tall container. The light comes on the brightens when the door opens. The freezer is large with 2 deep upper drawers. So far, I like everything about it!

We have owned this refrigerator for about 17 months. It is now freezing all the food In the lower half of my refrigerator, the back wall is all frosted up. We took it apart and the coil is also frozen. We also have a GE dryer (17 months) that my clothes catch on the sensor on the inside where I’ve had a few shirts ruined. 2 GE appliances, both only 17 months old and only 2 of us here so normal to minimal usage. And the answer is to call service and pay for a service call and repair fees for 2 almost new appliances. It’s not just a fluke - these products are poor quality. I’m done with GE Appliances.

Best refrigerator ever!

This refrigerator has awesome features: the large slide bottom tray; the moveable tray that allows bottles to be stored upright, and most importantly - the ice and water dispensers in the door are absolutely fantastic!

Great appearance, poor design quality

While unit works well so far (less than a month in service) and the appearance is very good, the lower compartment drawers all don't slide well and feel cheaply made. You must carefully center and evenly push the 3 drawers to close them, otherwise they tend to hang. The previous Samsung fridge this replaced (quite similar) the drawers worked much better and the main doors closed easier while this GE the doors are prone to not close completely and not be noticed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice but not great!

The ice maker is too small. It’s hard to get to the on/off switch.
On the outside door, there are two small dents and scaring from using two magnets to hold up two pictures of my grandchildren. That’s NEVER happened on any of my other stainless steel refrigerators!

This fridge replaced a Fridgedaire Gallery I had previously. It works fine, has ample storage space etc...two things I hate about it....It fingerprints and smudges TERRIBLY. And they don't just wipe off. It's a scrub with special cleaner to remove them. And, the crisper drawers and cool drawer do not slide well. They stick and jam if you don't get it just perfectly straight. These 2 things may seem small to GE, but remember that a cheaper Fridgidaire- has these 2 things solved.
