Great fridge

I love GE products. My mom retired from GE so their appliances hold a special place in my heart. I bought this refrigerator to replace a GE Profile refrigerator that was about 22/23 years old. Although this is not a Profile refrigerator (money was a factor) I like the roominess of it and it looks good and does fit in with the rest of my Profile kitchen. The only issues are:
1. This is a relatively loud refrigerator, even compared to an almost 23 y/o refrigerator.
2. No backlight on the ice/water dispenser. Makes it hard to find your selection at night.
I assume both of these would not have been an issue with a Profile branded fridge.

Dutch door refridgerator

I am very happy to have the ice maker on the door that leaves more room inside the freezer for food. The handy storage container on the door is convenient and love be able to monitor the temperature in the fridge and the freezer. I was afraid of a freezer drawer but this holds more than I expected. Happy with the slate color as well.

So far no issues. Bought around Thanksgiving, it's now early March. Ice in door is convenient, I thought I'd hate the small quantity of ice it keeps on hand, but easy fix, just keep a bin in the main freezer to dump ice into. My only complaint is that it's loud. Not enough to regret my purchase, still a very good value.

The Frig space is great but I love the fact that I can see everything in the freezer. The old side by side things would get shoved to the back and it would get forgotten but now everything is visible. I would definitely recommend this model to anyone
