Like the Frige not the ice Maker

I like the design of the French door refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom. I can see everything that is in there. The ice maker needs work. It sprays ice chips as it dispenses.

GE Double Door/Bottom Freezer

Very good refrigerator with ample depth, good use of door space and ample freezer space. The ice bin is very difficult to remove when we want to remove it and dump all of the ice into a cooler. The plastic vegetable bins are flimsy plastic that contort easily and grab the sides if the bin isn't pulled evenly at the middle of the handle.
It would be nice to be able to pull out the right vegetable drawer without having to open the left side door of the fridge in addition to the right side.

Cost Effective

This Refrigerator is a fair cost/value for what we needed. Overall Freezer space and Fridge space is adequate. My only complaint is that the height of shelves could have been better thought out. They are movable but it is not super efficient for taller things like Milk/Tall Drinks. In order to create space for these things it limits the efficiency of the rest of the drawers.

Ice in the door

Cheap and filmsy

Within hours of buying this product I regretted it. The construction is filmy, drawers don't slide smoothly and it lacks of basic 'fridge functionality' I would expect ex. an alarm when you accidentally leave the door open (because the freezer drawer does not glide smoothly) is non-existent.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
