Excellent Features

I love my new refrigerator. The water compartment has all kinds of features (cubed ice, crushed ice, quick ice, etc.) I also prefer side by side refrigerators because of the efficency to use them.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cost too much for a mediocre product.

It rolls back and forth too easily when you open and close the doors. Needs a lock on the wheels. Going to try door stops. The user maudlin is difficult to use. Covers too many variations of models so you are not what applies to your model. Didn’t come with water filter bypass plug. Have to call to get one (supposedly free). Shelves took a lot of finagling to get the to work as they should, hanging up and sliding all the way out unintentionally. Icemaker cut off switch very difficult to get too. Would not have bought if a model had been available to examine in the store. Warranty unacceptably short for what you pay.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No ice/water dispenser needed

I love my GE Profile Side by Side Counter Depth Refrigerator WITHOUT the ice/water dispenser on the outside door. (Ice maker is in the freezer) It is over 20 years old. I was told it is not currently being offered on new model. Please bring back this option again on this model for those of us who do not want a dispenser on the exterior door. Thank you!

Could Be Better

Disappointed with this fridge. After using the crushed ice feature the freezer started acting up. The ice maker overflowed dumping ice out the back of the ice maker. Then there was frost buildup in the freezer section. Then the freezer rose to 8 degrees and stayed there. And the fridge got loud seemingly trying to deal with the situation. I turned off the fridge at the breaker, then turned it back on a little while later and the loudness seemed to go away. Still having frost buildup problems so I’ve scheduled a service call. Hope it’s just a minor thing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
