bought the GE to replace a Frigidaire side by side. while i would never purchase another Frigidaire side by side, i find the GE interior capacity is dramatically smaller and the shelving is mostly plastic. in my opinion it is not sturdy. i am anticipating that the shelving or tracking will not last over time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This fridge has been with us for several year when we moved into our new home. We have not had an issue besides ice maker that seems to have an issue right now. But this may be a simple fix.

The refrigerator is sleek and I love the way the lights dim and brighten after opening. I don't understand the need for a temperature reading on the outside of the fridge. I wish this was a measurement display like in other models.

The reason I bought this counter depth fridge is for size, lighting and extra drawer in fridge. These items are important to me and only available on Profile series. Well worth the extra money.

Love the Slate!

My refrigerator went out and had to go looking for a new one on short order. Fell in love with the slate. I wanted a french door but my built in cabinet didn't allow for it and with the side by side (what I had before ). Fast ice feature is great, man its bright when you open the door, had zero issues with it thus far. A+

Had a 1996 GE Profile that lasted 20 years so when it needed to be replaced, I knew I would stay with the same model. Love the look and features.
