Bad Compressor

I have had this refrigerator for no more than 8 months. It came with the house when we moved into our new community. The inside if the refrigerator does not have adequate space. It is not large enough for a small family. It is better suited to hold stuff for one person, maybe two at the most. Not only is the inside of the refrigerator extremely small, the refrigerator stopped cooling within 4 months of moving in. We were told the compressor was busted so we had it replaced. Now it has happened again. Other members of our community with the same refrigerator have expressed the same issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stainless is not smudge proof and shows fingerprints easily. Very noisy in general, things in back of fridge freeze. Ice machine overflows and gets stuck, interior molding to hold shelves is overdone and reduces usable interior space such that capacity is smaller than advertised. Bottom two shelves in door are so shallow they just fit a bottle of beer (no joke). Finally, the first 5 seconds of water dispensing come out hot. For the price, this fridge is horrendous. Will try another brand and replace this as soon as I can afford to.

Not My Fave I’ve Ever Had

This refrigerator/freezer has narrow, limited space. The freezer is oddly configured - full-size frozen pizza won’t go in straight! The refrigerator is okay unless you feel like organizing a serving platter pre-event, and then forget it. The “automatic” ice maker dispenses, but you have to turn it off when the ice fills up too high. All in all, yuck.

Water and Ice dispenser is the only good features

This refrigerator/freezer has absolutely no room for an average to small family. I have never disliked a refrigerator more than this one and will as soon as possible replace it with a French Door - bottom freezer.

Very disappointing!

We bought the same refrigerator eight years ago and I loved it. Had to replace my original one and this one is the exact brand and model as my old one but I really am disappointed. The finish shows absolutely everything from fingerprints to water drips. The noises that come from this refrigerator are very disappointing. My old refrigerator you never knew that it was on or going through any of the different cycles. I definitely would not recommend this refrigerator. I’m stuck with it because it’s not cheap so I’m learning to live with it.

Disappointed in GE Brand

We have had trouble with French door fridges with ice makers on door and closing of doors and bottom drawer, so we decided we wanted to go back to our side by side, hoping for reliability and quality and believing in the GE brand. We had a GE Artica side by side counter depth that was perfect for many years. We liked the quality of the shelves and we did not want the in door water and ice maker that breaks easily. The Artica has the ice drawer which is way more practical for putting ice into large water bottles. Unfortunately GE does not make a counter depth Artica anymore. When we looked at the plain GE we felt that the drawers and the shelving were not very high-quality and even though it looks like the exact same box we decided to upgrade to the Profile that in our minds meant quality. In the hope that I would have better materials and a better quality build. Unfortunately after a month of ownership this has not been the case, we are sorry we didn’t buy the lower end model. The fridge has developed a problem with icing in the top left-hand corner where it connects to the freezer. There is ice buildup that then melts and leaves a puddle. Furthermore the large drawer does not glide properly and I think it will break very soon. It makes more noise than the old Artica and will suddenly make the sound of running water. I am guessing it’s a defrost but the first couple of times we thought it was going to flood the house. The old Artica drawers were also stronger. The café line has a cool look and some new customization but was not easily available when we bought. Seems like that will be the new top of the line, but frankly it’s very hard to differentiate the different price points and feel like you are getting good value. Other than the shelving and LED lighting nobody could really tell us what the difference in price was between the fridges. The LED lighting does not illuminate the middles of the fridge well and the lights are not flush. My advice is to get the entry level model. We went for the high end and it did not work out.

Disappointing

Small in all accounts. Doesn't hold anything !! Have a broken shelf the second week we had it. Plastic just split. Water dispenser drips. Have a paper towel to catch the drips at all times.
