Just bought by pair, I gotta say they are outstanding! First the Pros Pros: 1. Outstanding if slightly bass boosted sound. Not boomy at all, clear tight bass. 2. Beautiful to look at. 3. Comfortable with right seal. 4. I love the wallet case, packs up real small, but doesn't look like it is going to protect the buds if stepped on. 5. Sound is very very pleasing. 6. very little cable noise 7. High sensitivity. 8. Don't need an amp, doesn't make a difference. Cons. 1. Not true reference quality at all volume levels Seems like eq is +2 bass +1 Mids +0 Treble at sub 50% iPhone 6 volume (regardless doesn't sound like it since the dual driver make a clean sound almost home theater quality.. 2. Heavy. They are heavy so aright seal and placement in ear makes a difference between comfortable and uncomfortable. 3. Non user replaceable cable. 4. No L connected for 3.5mm 5. Hard-shell wallet case would have been better. 6. raising the volume causes the sound to be clearer and make these headphones true reference quality. seems like dynamic and balanced armature drivers have different efficiency. Having tried other hybrids and high end headphones. I will say.....buy these now and don't look back, you will not find better even if more expensive. At that point you will pay for portability and size. Diminishing returns.
Pros: Attractive, Compact, Durable, Easy To Set Up, Energy Efficient, Good Audio
Cons: Heavy

Great earphones, needs better case and removable cable

Great earphones....terrible case. For the life of me I cannot figure how I am supposed to fit these in the provided case. I have the X20i's also, the case provided with those would work better with the xr8i's. Also, the cable should be removable/replaceable at this price point. Klipsch...for the price, step up your game.

I just purchased the product and I could not be more happy and thrilled with the look, comfort and most importantly, sound quality of these earphones. In the past I have had other earphones from Klipsch, Sony, Sennheiser and Beats. The XR8i is, by far, the best that I have ever heard. I assure you that you will not regret this purchase!!
Pros: Attractive, Good Audio

The best in ear headphones I have ever owned

Iam an audiophile, own avery expensive audio system and grado gs1000 headphones. It was hard for me to hear music on the go with low end in ear headphones so I decided to buy something good and Iam happy with them, they are much more detailed then other brands which more or less sound boring/the same. These are the last in ear quality wise I will ever need.

Good sound, terrible fit

I would like to start out this review by saying that I love Klipsch I have set up 3 movie rooms all will Klipsch products and have owned previous In Ears prior to this re-design. This new design puts most of the earphone laying on the outside of the ear canal (previous design the ear piece went slightly inside of the canal) with tends to let gravity and wind pull it away from the ear. beacuse of my love for Klipsch It pains me to deliver a poor review on these headphones. I had amazing hopes for these and from an audio aspect I was only slightly let down. These in ears did delivery a very nice low range and midrange sound quality, however the high range was not as crisp as I have come to expect. The build quality is amazing and so far durable (a detachable cord to ear phone would be a great addition) and because of the build I am sure is why they weigh a ton. If you plan to do any sort of moving around... exercising Bicycling (my intended purpose) walking etc... they will have to be constantly adjusted and re-positioned in the ear. I was so disappointed in the fit of these that I bought the less expensive R6 and found that the sound quality was almost identical to these and a lot lighter and a little better fit, but still have an tendency to want to fall out once a little perspiration begins. and yes I tried every size of the ear pieces.
Pros: Good Audio
Cons: Heavy, Heavy / Bulky
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i used s2, s4i rugged, x10, but these have much heavy sound(with separate woofer) than any other.. will be much better with good audio devices(like Sony Walkman). i use iPod. actually i m addicted to its 3 button control 'TOTAL CONTROL IN JUST 3 BUTTONS'..... size & weight is big as compared with x10.. but for that sound i can compromise.... i think after burning of some hours.......will add some more good.
Pros: Good Audio, dedicated woofer is doing nice
Cons: Heavy / Bulky, bulky than other models....but can be comprmised

I'm new to ear buds. Until the XR8i all of the ear buds I tried were so uncomfortable and ill fitting I couldn't stand to wear them for more than a short while. I find I can wear the XR8i's for hours with comfort and without them wanting to fall out of my ears. Well done on comfort Klipsch. I can finally take my music on the go. My audio sources are a 1) a Schitt Bitfrost DAC, and Asgard 2 class A headphone amp, and 2) a Fiio X5 gen 3 portable music player. This earphone throws a good sound stage, and has clear mid's and high's that deliver the nuances of well recorded music. For most music the bass is adequate, with a caveat. The XR8i's are claimed to have exceptional bass, almost as good as a home theater system. I don't think they live up to that claim. This is a tough nut to crack for ear phones but when I listen to E. Power Biggs play Bach's toccata's and fugues on a cathedral pipe organ the XRI's don't produce bass as well as my over the ear Sennheiser 650's or even my Yamaha bookshelf monitors (without subwoofer) running through the Schitt gear. I realize this is an acid test and some may call it unrealistic. For other genre's, jazz, rock, country, male and female vocals the XR8i's are outstanding for my price point. I fear listening to the XR12's or XR20's.
Pros: Good Audio
Cons: Difficult to unbox the other buds out of the box

Jacked!!

Life long Klipsch customer here. I have sent these headphones in once for warranty repair for a damaged jack. The jack is now "jacked" up again due to poor design. This is the first pair of headphones that I have ever owned that have had this problem. These are also the most expensive pair I have owned and did not anticipate Klipsch ever releasing such an inferior product. Never purchasing Klipsch again!
