I never really got many bubbles- I had to do 7 pumps for each use and it didn't last very long. Now, I'm almost out of carbonation and need to order more. I was so excited to get this, but now not so sure if it was worth it.

Dr Pepper is basically prune juice soda. It has this strong fruity finish that is difficult to describe. In any case, I think you're about half way there with this blend. The initial flavor is quite good but the after taste is off. It isn't offensive by any means and I wouldn't mind drinking it. But it is hard to recommend it either. It is "okay". A solid "C+".
Do please compare the after taste of your product with the product you are trying to emulate. The prune juice flavor which is Dr Pepper needs to be a bit stronger and have a more consistent after taste.

Really a pretty good blend. It has a very full root beer flavor with a nice sweet mellow finish. My brother couldn't even tell it was diet when he tried some. I knew before I tried any of it so I can't say my opinion is candid on that matter. In any case, I would highly recommend this syrup to anyone interested in a diet root beer.
I would however suggest that Soda Stream try to come up with some additional root beer blends. There are of course many different recipes and styles of root beer. This one is quite acceptable but I'd like to see some more variety.
