4K HDR at an affordable price!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought two of these for the lounges in my place of business for our clients' enjoyment. We did not need a state of the art 4K product for casual/occasional viewing, as a 1080p set would have sufficed. However, when we saw this price for a 4K HDR Smart TV, we couldn't resist! Once operational, we were pleasantly surprised by its very good performance. The breadth of set-up controls for the picture and sound functions were as extensive as 4K TVs 4-5 times the price. The built-in Over-the-air TV tuner captured all 168 channel streams available in the Los Angeles market (we have a 30' roof antenna on the building). This set's IPS panel is the M+ type with RBG and an extra White subpixel to enhance brightness and save energy. From a normal viewing distance, this did not impair the 4K picture quality (we streamed Netflix 4K HDR material thru it for testing). We calibrated the picture with an Avia/Ovation alignment DVD and the results were impressive. The Smart TV apps were extensive and worked beautifully. Navigation was a breeze. The wireless link with our Wi-Fi was simple to connect. Operating the remote control took a bit of guesswork, but after a while we got the hang of it (there are NO controls on the TV itself---lose the remote and you have problems!). Be advised that this is not a CEA-certified Ultra 4k Premium set, mostly due to the white pixel issue and average reproduction of HDR source material (this is not a 1,000+ nits screen!). For its intended purpose, it is a very good TV nonetheless, especially at the price. I would recommend it as a bedroom/den/dorm room/secondary purpose 4K TV.

Great Tv

We have been so pleased that we updated our washer and dryer to LG, and just two weeks ago bought our LG stove. Talk about nice. We love it!!

Back light gave out, whole screen has a blue hue

It has a lot of software bugs that cause the need to reboot. The whole screen has a blue tint to it.
