[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works but there is a flaw in the display that when the fridge breaks it leaks the ice outside of the fridge and completely destroys the display. Since this is cosmetic I am forced to live with this damaged screen. I had to use black tape to help myself with the way it looks.

Bad quality

I brought this 18 months ago and have had severe issues with it since. I am concerned that LG is slipping in quality requiring me to look ok at other vendors going forward.

Love the unit

I bought the refrigerator almost 10 years ago and it performed flawlessly. It keeps everything cool/frozen as designed. The programmed temperature is very accurate. When I made this purchase it had most of the bells and whistles available at the time. The only problem was that the compressor 'jumped ship' recently but LG made good on the 10 compressor warranty.

Great Features, disappointing compressor.

We've had this refrigerator for 10 years, and has many desireable features. One you won't find any more is access to door items without opening either door. A wonderful feature, if all you want it to access drink. All of our visitors comment positively on this feature. I like the french door design. The drawer layout is very functional. The only negative I will mention is the compressor. Sadly, it seems to have a mere 10 year lifespan. The repairman was very experienced at replacing compressors, needing to reference instructions seldomly.
