Not worth the price

Since purchase we've had numerous problems with the control panel and ice dispenser. Purchased in 2014. 2015: The ice dispenser flap issue took 3 repair men and numerous attempts to repair parts of the flap/dispenser before an entirely new part had to be purchased and installed (this was over a couple of months... maybe longer.
2019 Ice Dispenser doesn't work at all.
2020 Now we have moisture/corrosion on the control panel, which needs to be replaced.
The water dispenser still works though!
Pros: ease of use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So this one was manufactured Dec 2012, so over 7 years now. We've had multiple people come out to diagnose it, but it's always either a guessing game or we're told it's a piece and get rid of it. I like the size of it, and the look, which is why 2 stars and not one.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use

Great appliance features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just this year we had the compressor go out. No freezer, no fridge, no ice, nothing. Lost the majority of our food. It wasn’t under warranty and I couldn’t find anyone within a 50 mile radius to work on an LG fridge. I spent countless hours on the phone with LG trying to get this resolved. They were less than helpful but with my persistence they agreed to send a technician to fix it for no cost but I would be without a fridge for over 2 weeks. Not acceptable. Our fridge is working now but we will see how long this compressor works. I will never buy LG fridge again. No one will service them. It’s too costly for repair guys to do and the only place you can get parts is from over seas.
