Great Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator has everything you would want in a refrigeration. Easy storage and plenty of room. My only drawback is I changed the water filter but now the change water filter flashing light does not extinguish after holding the light for 3 seconds. It does not tell me what to do next. Other than that I am extremely pleased with the refrigerator.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Features/Settings, Performance, Quality

Refrigerator/Freezer stopped cooling after 4 yrs

Bought 12/26/2014, died 2/15/2019. Compressor failure. There have been class action lawsuits filed against LG for this issue.

Broke, worthless

Broke literally the week after my extended warranty...hmmmm. Had A&E come out for LG warranty waited 3.5 weeks for appts. Fixed compressor, now still broken, waiting another week with no fridge (five weeks with no fridge), will NEVER buy an LG fridge again!!!!!!

Stopped working after 5 years

I really liked this refrigerator. The look and features are great and the capacity is wonderful. However there is much more important things than looks. The problem is it stopped working after only 5 years and 1 month (literately on month after my 5yr extended warranty). I had a repair person come and take a look but it had started to work again and they were unable to pinpoint the issue. Now 3 weeks later it has quit again. I see others have experience very similar issues both here and on other internet reviews. I just can't trust it and am afraid to invest any money that could just go for a new one. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Dead after 5 years

Had to have repaired for ice build up after 3 years and now at five years, just a few months after extended warranty ran out it’s broke. A repair guy says he has done what he can and doesn’t know what else to do to fix it and nobody else local works on LG. Have been old hold for an hour just to try and do smart diagnosis and no end in site to if anybody will ever pick up the phone!

Only Lasted 4 years

This refrigerator was included in the purchase of our home. It is four years old and broke after owning the home for three months. I will never buy an LG appliance. There is currently a class action lawsuit (Case 8:19-cv-00610-JLS-ADS) filed on 04/01/19 because after LG was previously sued in 2014, they continued to sell defective refrigerators. If you already bought this refrigerator, I highly recommend you add yourself to the lawsuit. This fridge WILL break eventually if it has not already.

Died way too soon

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was an amazing fridge that our family loved and we hoped to use it for many years but it recently stopped cooling. The repair person explained that there was a blockage in the refrigerant line and fixing it would cost more that buying a new fridge. We had other fridges that lasted for 20 years so our LG dying after 6 was very disappointing and costly. We ended up getting a new LG to replace it but disappointed in the overall situation. LG didn’t provide any compensation which would have been nice.
