High-end in every way but price!

I have never been more pleased with any appliance I have purchased. This refrigerator is a beauty however, it is far more than a “pretty face.”
LG certainly has the pulse what consumers want. There is more room for usage- no wasted space- than any refrigerator I looked at. I love the door in door- they even gave me space at the bottom of the door for smaller things- no other refrigerator that I looked at had this feature. The light is unbelievable- no more moving items around trying to see what is in the far back. The ice in the door not only (again) gives me more usable room, but the ice cubes are even shaped better- plus the crushed ice feature is by far the best I have had outside a restaurant! And the freezer- what a wonderful surprise to have drawers that are actually usable in size and features- all in quality material, include the compressor which I have yet to ever hear. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is this- go look for yourself- I bet you’ll want this functional beauty in your home too! Thanks LG.

DIED ...purchased on 4/26/2013 Dead on 12/3/2015. Not what I expected and I we our whole family loved this fridge. Giving LG one more try because their refrigerators still have the best features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this fridge in July of 2012. The entire sealed system needs to be replaced and I am without a refridgerator for a minimum of two weeks due to shipping time and extremely limited authorized service people. Something this expensive should last MUCH longer than 5 years.

I love, love, love this beautiful refrigerator. Great access to frequently used items with the "door-within-a-door" feature.
The amount of food and different size containers I can put in it is phenomenal. The freezer has 2 large compartments and 2 drawers for ease of use. Need I say more? Yes! The side-by-side LG refrigerator that I replaced (now resides in the garage, gotta love it) took up the same amount of room as this new one. No kitchen remodel!

the amount of space within this fridge is amazing . I have not yet had to search for space to put something else in it. The exterior is a real beauty and makes the kitchen look like a fashion plate of design. The door in a door was a main selling point and its extremely useful for mainly used items and not having to open the main part of the fridge. Keep up the inovative design for all LG products

Very ideal and special product in your kitchen

As soon as I sighted door in door feature in the showroom I begin to review all other features and quality of this refrigerator. Along with other quality and nicely designed features, door in door idea is very special and well deserved for thumbs up! I decided to purchase this unit over many other brand and models. Now it has been a few months. This door in door feature is the most frequently used to access refrigerator among all doors. Means I save much energy by reducing waste of cold air by opening a large door to get very small items and frequently used items. Here is the reason why I didn't give perfect score for the quality aspect. There are two small issues that LG may look into it for an improvement. Ice cube often stuck in the path of dispenser. I must put a finger inside of tunnel to break loose cumbered ice in order to get the new cubes. 2nd, right side french door (My favorite door) takes some force to close securely. It bounced back open behind me after I closed with reasonable force. After I walked away. Door opened alarm (another good feature, by the way) alerted me few times, but the other time the door was opened at least few hours while I am away..... I am paying more attention and give a little more force to securely shut, but it is something they can work on. Overall, I am happy with this product and highly recommend.

Loud noise; Will see if LG can resolve

We bought our refrigerator in November 2013 and took delivery in April 2014 to be installed in our new house. Not long after we started using it, we noticed an unusual humming noise that would stop when we opened the door and start again when we closed it. It was not always on, but was on at least half the time. It certainly sounded like an appliance that was not working well.
We had a repair person out a couple of months ago and were informed that the fridge is just "loud" because it has less insulation than the typical old fashioned refrigerators. We decided that could live with it.
About a week ago, this humming worsened significantly to the point where it is disruptive to conversations and quite distracting when you want to watch TV or sit quietly. I have another appointment set up to have the repair person out, but have seen complaints about similar issues online and am starting to worry that this will be a long term issue. I will report back on LG's success in fixing the issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Got this product over a year ago for my vacation home. I first used it for 2 weeks, second time for a month, 6 weeks in total. on my third use the ice maker doesn't work. I had the repair men to look at it an was told the fans in the freezer isn't working, i'm VERY disappointed.
