What an excellent purchase!

We unfortunately purchased a competitor brand and were so disappointed, we began searching for a replacement about the time we got it. Making sure to read the full information on the display tags this go, we found this model and were overcome with the capacity. It really is 31 sq ft inside! The Ice Maker in the door is a true bonus and it leaves so much more space in the actual refrigerator! The door in the door really needs no additional praises, it pretty much speaks for itself. When you see all the space you really get, and the quality of the manufacturing, you know why LG is such a sought out brand. And magnets STICK to the fronts of the doors! This unit deserves the overall ratings of 10 or higher from myself, my wife, and all 3 of our grandkids. Super Super Fridge/Freezer.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Door Bin no good for milk & juice
on December 8, 2014

Nice, except I bought this "door in a door" fridge for easy access to large, tall gallons of milk and juice and they spoil in the door. Apparently this door section is to keep items such as cheese, butter, and Peanut Butter in a warmer, softer state for ease in cutting & spreading. The milk spoils in this tall, big section which is perfect for these large bottles. I sure don't have giant chunks of cheese & sticks of butter to fill this bin up and I'm also leary of putting my salad dressings here, for fear they will also spoil. I keep the temperature at 36 degrees F, so I'm very disappointed with this feature. Otherwise, I like the rest of the fridge, but this is a major flaw and eats up too much cubic footage.

Awesome fridge

We have had this for about 8 months and love it. The door in the door is a great feature for kids going in the fridge to get things to drink. The choice of crushed or cubed ice works great for kids get their choice and having the water right with it has them drinking more water. All in all it's a great product for a family of 7 of us.

Poor Exeperience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this refrigerator as showpiece of our kitchen...what a mistake. We have had 5 failures of the refrigerator since purchase. It keeps freezing up and have lost hundreds of dollars in food not to mention the lost time to be here for service technician. The fans, defrost heater, control panel has been replaced. Some parts TWICE! Every other LQ appliance we own is great, but NOT THIS!!!!!

2nd LG Refrigerator
on August 6, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually don't write reviews, but now having issues with our 2nd refrigerator (in 3 years) it was a must to provide feedback to others considering purchasing this model. The first model (LFXS32766) only lasted a year until the compressor went out and was not repairable. The current unit (LFX31945) is now on it's 3rd service call this year alone with the same issue. I do recommended, if you decide to purchase this unit to get the extended warranty either through LG or (Best Buy - Geek Squad) to not have to worry about the costs of repairs. The first refrigerator replacement (under warranty) didn't even cover the cost of the replacement unit that we needed to pay. If this unit is required to be replaced, it won't be an LG. It unfortunate since we like all the features it provides.
Pros: Style/Design
