Installation parts not included and do not exist.

Bought this Hood a year before installation went to install it and the upper and lower horizontal brackets are missing which are required for installation KitchenAid themselves cannot find the part, no where online shows the parts. Only in the manual that came with the hood shows a diagram of the mount that I need, we cannot find anyone that can locate this part
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We find our island hood meets our expectations in most ways. The design is very nice and fits well with our decor. Sound levels and suction are good and as expected for a premium brand. Features are also very good, we especially like the automatic feature that turns the fan on when it senses heat from below. One little gripe is that the control panel doesn't have backlighting so if you are in a dim kitchen, finding the buttons you want to push on the panel to turn on the light or the fan can be frustrating. A low level backlight that is on constantly would be helpful.
I would recommend this to a friend!

An Incredible Beast in Stainless Steel clothing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We needed a Island mounted range vent and chose this Kitchenaid model for brand name recognition and to match our new Kitchenaid oven. We had no floor model to compare to, so were quite surprised when we opened the box on delivery to find a close to commercial quality vent. Luckily we had two local handyman helpers to install it because it is a Beast in stainless steel clothing!
We are very happy with the finished product, including the powerful Boost exhaust fan for those "Oh No!" moments. This vent is absolutely worth every penny of it's cost and the handyman fee too.

Appreciate the two settings of lights - first level is 4 white LEDs and the second is two yellow incandescent.
