We have this fridge and it has broken numerous times and stopped cooling. The main board went out and the part on indefinite backorder so the repair person sent it somewhere to repair. Less than a year later and it's broken again. Piece of junk.

LOVED THIS FRIDGE, BUT

Had approx 6 yrs or so, all of a sudden various issues w/ice maker, freezer & fridge compartments. Had someone out, replaced (not sure it needed) evaporator, dryer, condenser, still wouldn’t work right. Had someone else out, evidently either someone decided they didn’t want to work right that day or there is a design issue. The back (which is metal) has completely rusted thru to the point you can put your finger thru it) The coil inside is laying up against the metal, insulation inside is totally wet. KitchenAid CS was not helpful at all, time for a new fridge :(
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Run away from this fridge!

Lasted about 2 years, ice maker quit then fridge kept freezing up also condensation kept dripping from the top. Called two different repair places and said they don’t want to even work on that fridge. Had to throw it away, waste of money!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Kitchenaid refrigerator horrible don’t buy!

Breaks down every month. If you need this product buy the extra coverage but once that over you will start paying monthly. The company is horrible doesn’t care.

Poorly designed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ice maker is way too big and takes up so much space, and it leaks constantly. The handles/knobs of the drawers are unnecessary and poorly and unintuitively placed. The exterior control panel is made of cheap plastic and feels very flimsy. The interior is very stuffy. We returned it.

Nothing but problems

Not even 4 yrs old. 1st unit broke and had to be replaced in 1st month. 2nd unit intermittently had the LED lights go out and completely shut down two weeks ago. We had to pay for service and diagnosis was bad motherboard circuit. Paid for that, and all worked for about an hour, now the LES lights are out in fridge and freezer.
When it worked it was wonderful. But for the price ans to have all these problems…Run away from this model!

Beautiful refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator when we bought a new house. It looks wonderful in my newly remodeled kitchen. I love the two middle drawers for fruits and vegetables. I can access them easily without needing to open the whole refrigerator. So glad I picked this one.
