My favorite refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator for my new house here in Florida because I had the same model refrigerator in California when I lived there. I love having the freezer at the bottom the meat and vegetable drawer in the center and the large room on top. I also love the fact that it can measure the water being dispensed. If I need 12 oz of water, it will dispense that amount only.

Beautiful and functional

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this Nov 17, 2022. I went into the store with a completely different fridge in mind and fell in love with this one, despite the price!
I love configurations that I can make. I especially love the different sections of pull-out drawers and the herb storage in the middle. I used to waste food because it was sometimes not easy to see. That situation is strongly mitigated by the design of this refrigerator.
It also rolls in/out easily so I can clean behind/under it without needing to get someone else to help me.
It's currently Jan 27, 2023 so it's still "new". I hope to have many great years with this fridge.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this refrigerator in December and we love all the features. The lighting inside is wonderful. You can see everything from top to bottom when you open the doors. Love the two drawers that you can get items without opening the doors.

Condensation on freezer gasket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kitchenaid replaced my original unit when they determined that the cause of condensation on the freezer gasket was due to a non repairable part. The new unit has a similar issue but not as bad as the first. I tend to think this is a design flaw. Otherwise the unit is great

Lemon that must be replaced after 5 years

My fridge was manufactured in Nov 2017. Summer of 2022 BOTH service bulletin repairs were made by a licensed technician to address various symptoms including icing/frost, thawing food in freezer and a very noisy compressor. The door seals were verified to be fine every time. Now in Mar 2023, the same problem is recurring and KitchenAid/Whirlpool says "you're out of your 1 year warranty, so we can try to repair it again and see if it fixes it again or you can buy a new fridge on your own." Bad design and no willingness to stand behind their shoddy design. The repair guy has worked on dozens just like it with the same service bulletins but this one just won't resolve. I get that this happens, but the absolute lack of willingness to even discount a new fridge is beyond disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Needed the fridge repaired

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A week after we got the refrigerator, it started making a loud humming noise and had to have service on it. The condenser fan needed to be replaced already within the first week.
