So disappointed with the durability

This refrigerator was what we were looking for, design and functionality. In less than 18 months it has had issue after issue. Main control board causing the freezer to work and not the fridge. Next issue was a blower motor causing the refrigerator portion not to cool as it should. So disappointed with the quality of the product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought our refrigerator coming up on 2 years now and we have had nothing but issues. The ice maker stopped working and occasionally the water does not dispense. This happened on and off since we had the appliance. Now we are having an issue with the freezer area. For what we paid for this product I expected this to last at least 10 years.

Piece of trash!

Our fridge is JUST 4 years old and has given us so so many problems. Our water dispenser (when its giving us water) decides randomly to stop dispensing so we have to keep putting the cup in for it to fill it. The ice maker jams all the time and now after replacing the filter it has decided to not pick up the new filter and now wont give us any water yet again. The inside is extremely small also. This fridge is 1 of my biggest regrets. I will NEVER buy another kitchenaid product.

The best refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator because we loved the looks and the options.The refrigerator has tons of storage. Love the two long drawer and the slow closing, the three storage drawers in the freezer. O we love the measuring options to dispense water with measurements. Like a 1/4 cup or ever more measurements for water. I would only say the refrigerator only thing else it needs a front right door with clear glass opening.

Plenty of room for everything. My wife puts 6 to 8 gallons of milk, leftover pizza boxes, and just about anything you can think of. This refrigerator holds a massive amount of food, and looks good doing it. When we first plugged in the ice maker we had to reset it a few times, but everything works great. Eventually we will have the entire black stainless set. Thanks!!!

Great high-end look and features, Quiet, and cold.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator a month ago to match our existing KitchenAid dish washer. Unlike some other reviews of this model, our fridge is very quiet, and produces plenty of ice.
We love the quiet-close drawers, however I wish the freezer drawer was like that too. This one keeps the food very cold compared to our old fridge. We love the high-end look inside with the grey walls and LED lights. It is nice that they have air filters in this to keep the food smelling fresh. The water filter is in a nice out-of-the-way place too. This has a neat feature where you can tell it how many fluid ounces of water you want to fill and the in-door water dispenser will stop at the appropriate amount. I am not sure what I would use that for, since the paddle in the dispenser works fine. Other water-through-the-door refrigerators usually drop a cube or two of ice on the floor that you have to pickup. Not with this fridge. All the ice cubes drop into the cup every time. The shelves inside are split down the middle and both sides can be adjusted independently. As with all KitchenAid major appliances, the knurled handles feel real upscale.
The only feature that I think is missing is a bin to keep your eggs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

There is plenty of amazing fixtures I can describe, but there is one that makes it no. 1 - the fridge keeps your food fresh, looking great for an unbelievable period of time! Worth every dollar!

Doors rust after one year

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Make sure you have it in writing that your warranty coverage on defects is more than 30 days. The doors get rust spots and they do not cover it under warranty after 30 days. There defects warranty is for 30 day only. Will never buy again. Hope it at least runs a long time.
