Not impressed for the cost

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Top doors slam, middle drawers close aggressively when you are trying to fill them. You need massive strength to get the freezer open and closed. Water doesn’t come out in a direct stream, but rather splashes back and forth as it’s being dispensed. Technician came out and said “ everything is level and nothing he can do”. Looks pretty but

Lots of Problems

I bought this on May 30,2021. I have had nothing but problems with this unit. I think I got a lemon. Had the UI replaced on 11/15/22, the evaporator fan replaced on 6/8/22, the ice maker replaced on 12/22/22, the main control panel board replaced on 2/23/23, the circuit board in the drawer because of a leak from the ice maker was able to get into it, the led lights go out, have a built of ice in freezer because not defrosting and last but not least there is a constant loud noise from the freezer area could be the compressor. I can not keep any frozen food in the freezer because it just isn't reliable. Just for your information the model number is KRMF706EBS01. I did purchase a whole set of the appliances at the same time. I am hoping you can help because I am at my wits end on this appliance.

Horrible

This fridge is absolute garbage. I bought it September of 2019 and something new breaks every 4-6 months. It currently has been down for 3 weeks and the warranty is horrible. If I won this fridge, I would trade it in immediately.

Unreliable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The temperature does not remain consistent, fluctating between 0 and 40 degrees in the freezer compartment. We've been told by an authorized KitchenAid repair person that it is a design flaw with the defrost cycle. With only a one year warranty, I'm stuck with a 2 year old refrigerator that I can't rely on to keep my food at safe temperatures.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

expensive mistake

When building our new home, we wanted to bring our Samsung appliances from our previous home, but the builder insisted we purchase new. KitchenAid was the primary brand sold by their vendor and though we thought they were way too expensive, KitchenAid has a generally good reputation, and the appliances were very nice looking. Unfortunately, that's about all they have going for them. There was a faulty wire in the deli drawer and the drawer itself fell apart, and we had to have a repairman replace the control panel on fridge within the first year. We have had continual problems with leaks and ice build up around the freezer. Now 6 years in, the ice maker has stopped altogether and the freezer failed, forcing us to throw out a lot of food. Since it is no longer under warranty and parts are so expensive, we'll be purchasing a different brand instead of trying to fix it. Of the 4 KitchenAid appliances we purchased for the house, we've had trouble with 3 (oven doesn't heat properly, dishwasher has failed a couple times, and fridge has had problems noted here). Only the microwave hasn't had trouble.

4 Years in need of massive repairs

have had multiple issues with this fridge over the years and the quality does not match up with the price. looks nice, and feels well built but doesn't perform as well built

Piece of junk!

Door were not aligned upon delivery. Installers tries to align doors and could not. Said they would send a tech to
Align. Two texh visits and parts and still not aligned and kitchen said so sad, so sorry it is cosmetic and my issue now . It was reported the day it was delivered

A Great Refrigerator

Though there were continuous complaints and issues with this Kitchenaid model, there were also many excellent reviews. We own numerous Kitchenaid appliances, and have not experienced any issues. Love this refrigerator. It’s exactly what we ordered and we received exactly what we anticipated. No issues. Makes lots of ice quickly, cools as designed. Maintains constant temperature. A very attractive appliance in our kitchen. The drawers are a unique and very convenient feature. Water dispenses as designed. Filters are easily accessible. Freezer compartment is truly easy to organize and manage. It is a very well made, top quality appliance.
I would recommend this to a friend!
