Does not clean the clothes. Sorry that I bought it

The washing machine does not clean the clothes at all, but it is very quiet. The washer continues to go through the cycle even though the door is open. You must shut the washer off if you want to stop it. All my other washers, I was able to start to put the water in with the top door open while I gathered all of my laundry, which would take about 10 minutes. My other washers would stop after it would fill with water, I would add my detergent and then my laundry. This washer fills with water and then starts going through the cycles even with the top open, before I return with my laundry. Therefore, it does not allow me to multitask. Now I have to get my laundry, start the washer and WAIT there until it fills with water, quickly put my detergent and laundry in. I hate this GE washer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It does the job. I take clothes out of washing maching put into the dryer set the dials & push the start button soon afterward i hear the buzzer and I have dry clothes

We this to replace one that was 12 years old. Our house is for sale and we didn't want to spend a lot of money, but needed a reliable dryer. So far it has been working great...quiet and efficient.
