[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I currently have a Samsonite rolling backpack that I have owned for about 8 years. As a frequent business traveler, I love the convenience of being able to roll it then pick it up like a backpack to board or where rolling doesn't make sense. (My shoulders love that, too). My current backpack is wearing extremely well but the straps are finally wearing out. I was very disappointed that this "updated" version does not have a way to slide the backpack onto my roller board carry-on. The base is not a wide as my old one which means the wheels will need to be covered so as not to get your back dirty. Unfortunately, this is NOT something that can be done easily on the fly because a whole panel which has Velcro on both sides covers the backpack straps (to use during wheeling) must be undone and folded over the wheels to protect your back from getting dirty. No way I can wheel it down the jetway and quickly un-Velcro on both sides and cover the wheels to pick it up as a backpack and board a plane.

Best traveling companion ever. The best part of this bag is you can carry it on your back or you can wheel it. Enough storage to carry my 15" MacBook Pro, water bottles, couple days worth of clothes and shower & make up bag. The most awesome part is, it will fit under the plane seat so no lifting overhead and you can wheel it into restrooms and be hands free from your jacket/sweater, phone, bags/purse, water/soda bottles. Plus when you catch up with your checked bag, the backpack can be strapped onto the big bag and still be one handed while moving through airport. So darn awesome!! Plus, my kids can use it for school.
