Perfect size / compromise for under the seat on planes, and daily trips to/from work. I am impressed with durability, quality, and relatively quiet & smooth wheels. I recommend this to patients who are carrying too much weight in conventional backpacks that are not wheeled. This really is the best one of its kind on the market - Samsonite quality - mine has lasted 4 years already.

Cons: Mesh side pockets could be a bit more durable

I have been using it on a daily basis rolling it in different surfaces-concrete, asphalt, dirt and grass. It's holding up pretty well so far. But we will see after a few months.

I gave a three, only because I haven't used it yet. I'm a little disappointed that the backpack cover interferes with the wheels, so it's not as easy to switch between the two. Think aboutt wheeling up to a plane, then wanting to quickly put it on your shoulder to walk down the aisle.

My husband and I bought two in different colors to travel across part of Russia. We travel for work and frequently need a carry on that is small enough to double as our overnighter. We needed the versatility of rollers when usable and backpack in rougher terrain. For times we needed to carry our large luggage, the backpack simplified our lives so much. Unfortunately, it was about an inch short for my computer but fits most and on these type of trips we carry only one computer or tablets between us anyway.
