Good Washer, but bad stacking kit

I purchased GFWN1600JWW (washer) and GFDN160GJWW (dryer) for a rental unit that I own. These units are larger than the units they are replacing, and space is tight. I'm extremely disappointed with the stacking kit which requires rear access. In other words, you can't install the washer (bottom), then install the dryer on top with only front access. It's a horrible design. I'm giving the washer 2 stars because of the stacking kit which was clearly an after-thought.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my new washer

I love my new wash machine from GE, it's pretty quiet, doesn't use much water or electricity, easy to use and I know in the future I'll be able to get the parts and support to fix it at a reasonable cost if it breaks so it will still be in service a long time, and still made in the USA too

The old washer was making noises. The repair technician recommended this, and the price was good. We found a lovely variety of wash cycles and adjustments, and have been delighted with it these six months.

I've had the washer and matching dryer for just over a month and I love it! I had a front loader years ago and it sold with the house, but at the time front loaders didn't have a long life span, so I wasn't hip on getting another. However, due to space issues I had no choice but to get another front load when my laundry center machine died. I purchased online from a big box store, so I didn't actually see the set until it was delivered, which made me a little nervous. But, when I saw the total cost for the washer it was well worth it. I have to use them stacked and I couldn't be happier. Absolutely no vibration with the washer, quiet enough and no loud end of cycle buzzer on either the washer or dryer. I would recommend both of these.

I love my washer! It's so easy to use, my eight year old does his own laundry. It also runs quiet. We have it on the second floor & you don't hear a sound when it's operating.
